For Novak Djokovic, some of the most important work happens away from the tennis court.

This December, the 24-time Grand Slam champion will bring that philosophy to Marrakech for Stillness and Strength, a three-day retreat at Amanjena from December 18–20, 2026. The program draws on the routines and rituals that have shaped Djokovic’s approach to performance, with a mix of tennis, mindfulness, recovery and time to simply slow down.

Just beyond Marrakech, Amanjena offers a fitting backdrop. The resort unfolds among gardens, olive groves and palms, with the High Atlas Mountains in the distance. Its clay tennis courts and wellness spaces will become the setting for a weekend focused as much on quieting the mind as moving the body.

Beyond the Tennis Court

Djokovic has long spoken about the role that mental discipline plays in his life and career, and that idea sits at the center of the retreat.

During tennis masterclasses, guests will have the chance to hear firsthand about the techniques and routines behind his game. Away from the court, daily mindfulness sessions led by Amanjena’s wellness specialists will explore stillness, presence and how we respond to pressure.

Together, the sessions offer a glimpse into a side of athletic performance that isn't always as visible: the ability to slow down, reset and stay focused when the stakes are high.

Making Time for Recovery

Recovery is woven naturally into the weekend. Guests will have time to explore Amanjena Spa and its wellness facilities, with a traditional 60-minute Beldi Hammam and 60-minute Therapeutic Argan Massage included as part of the retreat.

It creates a balance between the more active moments on the tennis court and quieter stretches devoted to rest and restoration.

A Thoughtful Approach to Food

The same philosophy carries over to the table. Daily menus will be personally curated by Djokovic, with nourishing dishes designed to complement the rhythm of the retreat.

Food, movement and recovery aren't treated as separate pieces of the experience. Instead, they come together around a broader idea of wellbeing and the small, consistent rituals that support it.

Stillness in Marrakech

Djokovic became Aman’s first Global Ambassador and Wellness Advisor in 2024, beginning a partnership centered on movement, recovery and mental wellbeing. The Marrakech retreat is a continuation of that relationship, bringing his personal approach into an intimate setting.

And while tennis is certainly part of the appeal, Stillness and Strength is really about something broader: taking a few days away from everyday distractions to think about how we move, recover and handle pressure.

Against the quiet backdrop of Amanjena, that may be the most interesting lesson of all.
