More than 350 people attended The Benefit for Greenwich Hospital on September 26, celebrating the life-changing support of the $125 million Arc of Care Campaign for Greenwich Hospital. The fundraising initiative fuels expansion in key clinical areas: Oncology, Childrenโs Health, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience, and Behavioral Health.
The annual event transformed Greenwich Country Club for friends, supporters, and Greenwich Hospital, Yale New Haven Health and Yale School of Medicine leadership. Guests gathered for a cocktail reception, which featured an interactive gallery showcasing the plans for the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich Hospital, followed by dinner and dancing under a festive tent.
Longtime Greenwich resident Barbara Netter, visionary philanthropist and champion of medical and scientific progress, received the 2025 Greenwich Hospital Luminate Health and Medicine Award. She serves on the hospitalโs Arc of Care Campaign Leadership Council and has provided lead investments with a focus on Neuroscience, making possible some of the most innovative services, technologies and treatments in the region. This yearโs Physician Honorees were neurosurgeons Murat Gรผnel, MD, considered one of the worldโs most illustrious doctors and researchers in genomics, neurosurgery and neuroscience, and Zion Zibly, MD, a world-renowned expert in high-intensity focused ultrasound, which he brings to Greenwich Hospital.
Noรซl Appel, Greenwich Hospital senior vice president and chief development officer, thanked the hospitalโs volunteer leaders. โOur Arc of Care Campaign Leadership Council includes individuals who care deeply about the mission of Greenwich Hospital and its future as a leading healthcare provider in the region,โ she said. โNew to our Benefit leadership team this year is our Young Families Benefit Committee. This group of friends has come together in the months leading up to the Benefit to get the word out about the hospital, to invite friends and family to join us this evening.โ
