Blueberry Mojito

Packed with antioxidant-rich  blueberries, you could almost convince yourself that this style of Mojito is actually good for you.

Ingredients

SERVES 1

  • 1 lime, cut into 12 pieces
  • 5ยฝ oz (1 cup) fresh blueberries, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 small handful mint leaves
  • 1ยฝ oz (45 ml) white rum
  • 1 oz (30 ml) umeshu (Japanese plum wine) 
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Sugar syrup (page 250) 
  • 2 oz (60 ml) soda water  
  • lime wedge, for garnish 

Directions

  1. Muddle the lime, blueberries and mint in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the rum, umeshu and sugar syrup.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
  4. Pour the contents of the shaker into a highball glass and top up with ice.
  5. Add the soda water.
  6. Garnish with blueberries and a lime wedge.
