The Famous Greek Kitchen (FGK) located in Greenwich, CT, hosted a summer social event to raise money for The Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich. “The Boys and Girls club of Greenwich is very dear to our hearts as it was our safe and fun place to go to when we were children,” says Maria Katsaros. “We don’t think they get the recognition they deserve for all the good they do for our children in the community.”
The event celebrated the opening of the patio at FGK as well as a celebration of the summer.
There was a silent auction, cigar lounge, DJ and live guitarists. The DJ was Elle Katsaros, a new up and coming DJ and she kept the crowd on their feet the entire night They also had a Spanish guitar duo from New York City that gave the event a fun vibe. Menu items included watermelon salad, rib eye and Greek potato sliders, Chilean seabass lettuce wrap tacos, and spiced grilled shrimp cocktail.
“The fact that the owners of FGK are giving back to the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich in recognition for all that the Club did to help them become successful members of our community speaks volumes. We are so grateful they honored us this way,” says Bobby Walker, Jr., CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. The mission of The Boys and Girls Club Greenwich is to give kids a safe place to learn and grow – and have fun at the same time.
