Philanthropic shoppers gathered at J.Crew on Greenwich Avenue for Greenwich Land Trustโs Go Wild!ย for Spring with Styling and Shopping event. Go Wild!ย co-chairs Glenn Shaw and Magali Swanson welcomed committee members, GLT members, supporters and community partners as they shopped and mingled. J.Crew donated a portion of the eveningโs proceeds to the Land Trust.
The evening included drinks and hors d’oeuvres and served as the kick-off to GLTโs annual Go Wild!ย family field day to be held on Sunday, September 23, to raise awareness and funds for the Land Trustโs conservation efforts and community educational programming. Go Wild!ย features live music, a petting zoo, rock climbing, arts and crafts and rides on enormous hot air balloons, providing a spectacular view of the expansive 62-acre Conyerโs Farm Preserve below.
Founded in 1976, Greenwich Land Trust is a member-based, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting local natural resources through open space preservation and environmental education. GLT currently protects 759 acres of marshlands, meadows, forests and orchards from the coast of Long Island Sound to Backcountry.
