Pop Culture Cake with The Poppery

Serendipity Must Have

โ€œThe Poppery came from my love of being creative and my desire to use my background in art in a unique and fun way,โ€ says owner Alexa Esposito of the bakery she founded in 2017. โ€œI started out making custom cake pops ($3.50 and up each) for friends and family at their various events, and never dreamed that it would one day turn into the business that it has!โ€ And those cake pops truly are works of art. Think pops shaped like sushi, the Beatles and cute jungle animals in flavors like funfetti, red velvet, churro, and chocolate chip. โ€œWe have made a wide variety of cake pops, from your favorite cartoon characters to elegant wedding favors,โ€ says Esposito, whose brick-and-mortar shop opened in 2019.

And while the pops are super popular, the bakery has lots more on offer, including custom cakes. โ€œWe also provide other treats such as macarons, sugar cookies, sugar cookie tarts and cupcakes that partner well with our custom dessert table packages,โ€ she says. In store, youโ€™ll find 10 flavors of mochi, celebratory add-ons like candles, cards and sprinkles, and a selection of cakes coming soon.
