Cozy Up with Yummy Blankets

โ€œI am inspired by texture and color. My style is laid-back luxury,โ€ says Jessica Meyrowitz, who launched her company, Itโ€™s aโ€ฆYummy, in 2016 after taking a knitting class. โ€œI love the process of creating my Yummy throws.โ€ With large needles and yarn, the Chappaqua, NY, resident began creating her products, including the signature Merino wool throws, which now come in 38 different colors, with another 8 launching this fall.

Throws, $500 each, are available in a variety of colors both with one without tassels.

Each throw takes about five hours to make by hand, but sheโ€™s not at it alone: Meyrowitz works with a group of women in Westchester and Fairfield counties to create the line, which includes the throws, plus everything from baby blankets to scarves. For those interested in creating one themselves, a DIY Throw Kit that will include a pattern, needles, yarn and a canvas carrying bag, is scheduled to come out this fall. Have a more specific look in mind? Custom throws can be commissioned in a variety of patterns, styles and colors. โ€œThe throws are a true collaboration between myself and my client,โ€ says Meyrowitz. itsayummy.com
