Slip on your dancing shoes for a cause through January as the Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich holds the month-long benefit Stand Up to Cancer. The ballroom is one of eight in Connecticut that will be inviting people to participate in a private lesson between January 1 and January 31. Five dollars from every lesson purchased will go toward cancer research funded through Stand Up to Cancer. “We want to do whatever we can to help change the heart-wrenching fact that one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime,” says Christine Georgopulo, owner of the Greenwich ballroom.
