Head to: Dunton Hot Springs in Dunton, Colorado
This all-inclusive Relais & Chateaux resort has helped bring an 1800s ghost town to life—and it’s the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, secluded escape, and luxury living. Located in the San Juan Mountains, about 1.5 hours from Telluride, there’s plenty to do, too—from soaking in the multiple natural hot springs that dot the property (there are both indoor and outdoor options) to hiking, horseback riding, rafting, and more. Another Relais & Chateaux property, this one has 27 rooms and suites, all of which are design-forward. Consider the new one-bedroom suite options, which include a private outdoor patio. One of the best features of the property: With its location in the historic Barrio de Analco neighborhood, it’s steps away from all the action —a boon for guests, since you can easily see the city as well as take in events, like Santa Fe Indigenous Fashion Week, which runs from May 2 to 5. Head to: The Ranch Hudson Valley in Sloatsburg, New York
If you need to kick your health and wellness routine back into gear after a long winter, this intense, all-inclusive program may be the answer. Set to debut this spring, the lakefront resort offers structured 3- and 4-night programs. Food and meals are included—it’s all organic, plant-based and often locally sourced—and the exercise focuses on low-impact options. That includes morning hikes and afternoon group classes, for upwards of 6 hours each day, they say, along with built-in time for naps and daily massages. This marks the first East Coast location for the resort, whose signature outpost is in Malibu, California.
…Spend Time at the Beach
Head to: The Reach Key West in Key West, Florida
Want to speed-up spring’s sometimes slow warm-up? Head down to Key West, for a stay at Hilton’s The Reach, with its pool, private beach—they even have a resident sand sculptor!—and lots of water sports, like jet skiing and snorkeling. There are lots of room options, including those with outdoor space that overlooks the ocean. You’re also close to lots of Key West to-dos, including Duval Street, which is just a mile away, the aquarium, and historic spots, like Ernest Hemingway’s house. At the resort itself, there’s also the Four Marlins restaurant, which serves all meals as well as private on-the-beach dining experiences.
…Have a City Weekend
Head to: Hotel Commonwealth in Boston, Massachusetts
If you haven’t been to Boston recently, now might be the perfect time for a revisit. A great homebase: Hotel Commonwealth in Kenmore Square. This lux property is within walking distance of Fenway Park—and if you’ve got some baseball fans in your group, consider booking the two-room Fenway Park Suite, which has a balcony with stadium seats and is outfitted in lots of Red Sox gear. There are restaurants, including Blue Ribbon Brasserie, at the hotel itself, as well as lots of incredible options throughout the city, with shopping-centered Newbury Street and tons of other attractions also nearby.
