Fordham Marble: Superior Workmanship & Innovation

Fordham-Kitchen

Fordham Marble has been crafting quality Quartzites and Marble countertops since 1905. They combine technology and old-world craftsmanship to create beautiful and functional products. Their rock-solid reputation has been built on their superior workmanship and innovation, and their 10,000+ square foot showroom shows the attention to detail that goes into every design.

Whatโ€™s the first thing you do when you see a home youโ€™ll be working on? I like to take a look at the plans including the outside of the house to get an overall feeling of the style the architect has envisioned.

How has your style and design strategy evolved since you started your career? The trend is for a more transitional, streamlined feeling. Heavy moldings, beige granite and busy patterns are a thing of the past. White Marbles, Quartzites, Quartz and Nano Glass are the products of the future.

Whatโ€™s one thing that would surprise a potential client about working with you? The client may be surprised that Fordham Marble will supply the drawing layouts for the floor and wall tiles on all of their projects. Fordham Marble will also supply shop drawings for the architectโ€™s approval on all fabricated work, making the decision-making process that much easier.

What inspires you? In the natural stone business our inspiration evolves all the time. New quarries are constantly opening with even more beautiful selections. Porcelain tile and mosaics are evolving to become a part of every area in the home.

What color do you love now? I love the pale blues. Fordham Marble has so many different shades to choose from. The glass tiles and mosaics in these shades will make any Marble, Granite or Limestone pop! Custom mosaics and the new Quartzite natural stone add a level of sophistication to all of our projects.
